Opinion poll was launched
In order to evaluate the market positions and the tourism potential of the cross-border area included within Mehedinti and Borski districts, an opinion poll is carried within „Lights ON!” project in order to evaluate the initial state and ttouristic potential of the area before launching the tourist products planed to be realized through project activities. The survey should provide up-to-date information on the internal circulation of tourists and their areas of origin, as well as the interest of foreign tourists in the region, their consumers profile, etc.
The purpose of the research is to highlight the characteristics, preferences and expectations of tourists in the cross-border region covered by both districts (Mehedinti and Borski) in order to develop new tourism products.
Specific objectives of the research:
– to quantify the demographic, economic, social and geographical data of tourists staying in the cross-border region covered by both districts (Mehedinți and Borski) during the survey;
– to determine the opinion of the tourists regarding the place of accommodation, services and facilities in the area, the way of organizing the trip, the existing sources of information, etc.;
– to identify patterns related to the mode of travel, perceptions regarding the financial value, preferences related to holidays and the interests of tourists staying in the cross-border region covered by both districts (Mehedinti and Borski).
The research objectives are operationalized in an online questionnaire containing a set of 37 opinion and socio-demographic questions.
The survey, carried out within the A.T1.1 activity, has to be finalised untill the end of January 2020, and is implemented by a company specialized in conducting opinion polls and market research.
